Re-use the bags you get every time you shop are good for more than one trip. Re-use them or, better yet, buy a "bag for life" and use that. Collectively, we use millions of plastic bags on a daily basis. Saving a couple bags here and there may not seem to make a difference, but as more and more people do this, the savings will mount up. 2. Re-cycle as much as you can. You probably already have a recycling collection service. If not, look out for recycling places local to you and drop off your newspapers, bottles, cans, etc next time you are passing. Don't make a special trip though. For larger items, if they're still usable then look up Freecycle for your local area. They offer a great way to give unwanted items a new, welcoming home. 3. Eat local produce. Especially if it's bought fresh from a Farmer's Market. You'll notice the difference in taste. And if you buy just what you need (rather than the supersize pack your grocery store normally sells) it probably won't cost much more. Plus you'll save all those miles that the often tasteless food your grocery store stocks has been forced to travel. 4. Turn off unused appliances at the socket. Standby mode still uses lots of energy. Cut your fuel bills by turning off televisions and other items when they're not in use. That includes your computer's monitor as well. Screensavers only stop the screen from getting burned in images. Energy saving mode cuts power usage but nowhere near as much as the on/off switch does. 5. Wash your clothes at a lower temperature. Modern detergents work fine at lower temperatures. Or throw away the detergent in favor of Eco washing balls, saving on the fossil fuels that are used for most modern detergents as well as cutting your washing costs without compromising wash quality. 6. Turn down your thermostat in the winter (and turn it up in the summer if you use air-conditioning). One or two degrees difference is barely noticeable, except when the fuel bill arrives. When you get used to the new, lower temperature, turn it down another degree or two! 7. Compost waste if you have a garden, saving on fertilizer cost and giving your plants a treatment they'll love.

When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success.” – Norman Vincent Peale I love Norman Vincent Peale’s style. He always made a person feel invited to the table so to speak. He appealed to the common everyday person, not just to the success hounds. Don’t take that the wrong way, I consider myself a bit of a success hound too. Success hounds are people who are attracted to any and all information having to do with success for the sake of success. Frankly not everybody is that way and that’s OK. That’s why Norman Vincent Peale’s style is so refreshing. He didn’t talk about success only because it wasn’t his only interest. In fact he was a minister most of his years for a number of churches spread across this great country of ours. His sermons were very unique, and people would come from all around to hear him speak about a new “positive” approach to modern living. His messages were mostly religious with psychological and business overtones; the opposite of what you might hear from people today such as Stephen Covey, or Zig Ziglar, or Wayne Dyer who speak to us from a business and psychological point of reference with religious overtones. Just listen to the opening words of the above quote for example. He says “people become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things.” What a universal appeal these words have and I am so glad I have found these words and can share them with you today. I want to share with you a personal experience tied in with this quote if I may. In 2003 I was diagnosed with a terrible disease which has progressively worsened taking my livelihood and most things I hold dear away from me. I am now disabled and find myself in a shell of a body that can no longer do too much but my mind races on with things I desire to do making my life just horrible as you could imagine. You would never know it by my articles that this is my situation would you? Here is where the miracle comes in. People really do become quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things. I found this out just a few months ago when it dawned on me that I can do something really cool and great even though I am disabled. I can still write! All of a sudden like a bright light that went off in my head, I believed with a burning in my soul that I can write about all the things I have been teaching since I became a motivational speaker over 15 years ago. The juices began to flow again, coursing through my veins and filling me with enthusiasm, something I had not felt since 2005 when I all but gave up on myself. I actually started writing a year ago when I began my daily quotes web-site called http://www.cyreousquotes.com. But I did not recognize the potential I had till my youngest son who believed in me gave me a book to read and encouraged me to research again. Since then I began writing articles for reprint and I can not explain the metamorphosis I went through when it dawned on me that I can still do what I love doing in my life, just in a different way. Seperti yang sudah pernah saya sampaikan pada postingan Improved Your Earning with Google Referral, bahwa penghasilan dari Google Referral juga cukup menjanjikan. Coba bayangkan jika setiap bulannya dari referral kita ada 100 orang yang mendaftar Google AdSense, kalau kita asumsikan dari 100 orang itu yang berhasil hanya 20% nya saja berarti 10% x 100 = 10 Orang, jadi kemungkinan untuk 3 bulan kedepan kita bisa mendapat $$$ sebanyak 10 Orang x $5 = $50, jadi kalau google referral kita bisa kita optimalkan penghasilannya cukup menjanjikan.

Desain situs/blog yang bagus merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan traffic blog kita, saya yakin kalau anda juga setuju dengan pernyataan ini. Dengan alasan itu banyak para blogger yang berusaha untuk membuat tampilan situs/blognya sebagus mungkin sehingga menjadi suatu tempat tujuan yang nyaman, diharapkan para pencari informasi akan merasa senang untuk kembali lagi dilain waktu.

Jika ini sudah bisa kita sajikan buat para pembaca kita maka ini merupakan suatu keuntungan dan nilai tambah tersendiri buat situs/blog kita. Jangan lupa juga content situs/blog merupakan hal yang paling penting, so remember that,"content is king".

Pertama, perhatikan bahwa masih banyak orang yang online via modem jadi bisa kita bayangkan kalau harus menunggu berapa lama untuk menampilkan gambar yang terlalu besar. Kita harus mempertimbangkan apakah penggunaan gambar itu akan relevan terhadap setiap pembaca blog kita, jadi hindari penggunaan gambar yg terlalu besar dan gunakan format gambar yang lebih kecil.

CAPS

Menggunakan HURUF BESAR untuk chatting, emails dan website/blog sangat tidak etis. Dalam dunia online hal ini sangat tidak di anjurkan, karena ini menandakan bahwa anda sedang tidak senang alias marah-marah.

Tentu saja anda masih bisa menggunakan HURUF BESAR tapi harus dilihat untuk keperluan apa, misalnya: untuk judul, headlines atau when your relly want to get somebody's attention.

Seperti yang kita lihat hampir setiap blog yang kita kunjungi memiliki counters, coba lihat blognya mas Mario coba bandingkan dengan blog saya ini rata-rata pengunjungnya masih dibawah 100 (jadi sedih :( niee). Bagaimana dengan situs/blog anda?

Penggunaan counters ini ibarat mata uang mempunyai dua sisi yaitu ada keuntungan dan ada kerugian. Kenapa ada keuntungannya karena kalau rata-rata pengunjugnya perhari sudah diatas ribuan, itu berarti situs itu memberi manfaat sehingga para pencari informasi akan selalu berkunjung, biasanya situs/blog yang seperti ini sudah mempunyai pembaca setia.

Ketika kita menemui situs/blog dengan counter yang masih minim, pasti kita akan berpikir bahwa situs/blog tersebut kurang memberi manfaat. Jadi daripada membuang waktu dan uang lebih baik buruan klik tanda silang disebelah kanan atas. Tips buat situs/blog yang masih baru dibuat: If you are going to use a counters,then use invisible ones that people can't see.

Saya tidak tahu apakah ada hubungan dari peribahasa diatas dengan bahasan ini, tapi hal ini perlu kita perhatikan bahwa selera orang itu tidak semua sama. Beberapa orang mengakses internet dari tempat-tempat umum seperti: internet cafe, library, school, tentu saja jika anda menggunakan music ini akan membuat bising dan mengganggu orang banyak.

Orang mau berkunjung ke website/blog karena beberapa alasan, informatif, useful, up to date (mungkin masih banyak alasan yang lain). Ketika orang menemukan tulisan seperti diatas jelas akan mengurangi mutu dari situs itu sendiri, satu alasan lain karena dunia internet atau dunia komputer merupakan salah satu yang tercepat dalam inovasi, setiap hari berkembang bahkan setiap detiknya. Tips: Usahakan untuk mengupdate situs/blog anda setiap hari, sebenarnya blog ini juga tidak bisa diupdate setiap hari tapi minimal 4 kali sebulan, ini sangat mempengaruhi juga untuk meningkatkan posisi di search engine google, yahoo, maupun search engine yang lainnya.

Penggunaan warna yang sesuai perlu diperhatikan, pemilihan warna latar belakang dengan warna postingan sangat memperngaruhi kenyamanan dalam membaca tulisan yang disajikan. Tulisan yang bermutu dengan warna yang norak mungkin saja kalah dengan tulisan yang sekedar curhat tetapi pemilihan warna sesuai sehingga nyaman untuk dibaca. Tapi semuanya sepenuhnya terserah anda, untuk blog pribadi semua serba bebas, bebas memilih topik, bebas menulis apa saja (asal tidak merugikan pihak lain), sama sekali tidak ada yang bisa melarang anda.

Spelling/Grammer

Mungkin anda jadi teringat ketika menyusun skripsi, coba anda ingat berapa kali di suruh dosen pembimbing untuk koreksi hanya karena spelling and grammer yang salah. Ketika kita mengunjugi suatu website/blog, menemukan kesalahan dalam penulisan Spelling anda Grammer, pasti akan muncul pertanyaan,"Bagaimana kredibilitas dari website/blog tersebut, tentu pembuatnya juga termasuk".

Kalau anda ingin mengetahui diri anda yang sesungguhnya maka mintalah pendapat dari orang-orang disekitar anda.
